In addition to the rather astounding confession that he hasn’t yet watched series 1, Tom shared a bit of information about the direction that Series 2 is taking:
The Londoner also revealed he has escaped the dreaded challenge of adopting a local accent for the Birmingham-based show.
"Actually no, Steve (Knight, writer) created a character specifically tailored to a certain area," he explained.
"But the Peaky Blinders have moved - I don’t really want to say what’s going on in the programme but the locations have somewhat changed from Birmingham and gone further out into the regions. New characters have come in from all around the country. It’s getting bigger."
(In other news, he and Cillian were back in Manchester today filming series 2. Tom was sporting a beard for the first round of filming a few weeks ago and was clean-shaven the other night, so wonder what this means for his character)
